Artists-in-Residence
Opera Memphis is collaborating with the University of Memphis for the year round Artist-in-Residence program in the 2010-2011 season. The Artists-in-Residence will be well qualified singers who are accepted into the two-year Artist Diploma in Voice program at the University of Memphis. Performance opportunities for Artist Diploma students at Opera Memphis include:
- At least one main stage role in a production, generally supporting or comprimario
- Covering principal roles
- Outreach performances including programs in schools and formal concerts
- Option for singing in the chorus
Performance opportunities with the University of Memphis Opera include:
- At least one principal role with orchestra per year. (There are at least two fully staged opera productions with orchestra each academic year.)
- Concerts and outreach events
