A touring show during Black History Month based on the career of the American soprano Leontyne Price.  Born in Laurel, Mississippi, she aimed for a music teaching career but was encouraged to study voice, receiving a scholarship to the prestigious Julliard School in New York City.   A successful opera singer and recitalist, Ms. Price became the first African American to sing regularly with the Metropolitan Opera, and she was and continues to be an inspiration to future performers.  Performed by Allison Sanders, native of Memphis, who is currently pursuing her Master of Music in voice performance at the prestigious Curtis Institute.  About 45 minutes.

January 30 – February 24, 2012 – $250 per performance ($200 each additional) – All ages
