Converting tickets into a tax-deductible donation

Patrons who find themselves unable to attend an opera for which they have purchased tickets may convert the purchase into a tax-deductible donation. Patrons must contact the Box Office at 901.202.4533 at least 24 hours in advance of the performance. The seats are then made available for purchase by other patrons and are most often used to accommodate local students. Opera Memphis does not refund ticket purchases.

Late seating

Opera Memphis performances begin promptly at the stated start time. Ushers will seat late patrons only until the overture has concluded. (Typically, this is no later than ten minutes after the stated performance start time.) Patrons who are not in their seats by this time forfeit their tickets.

Student Rush

Opera Memphis is committed to making opera accessible to everyone. In that spirit, we offer $10 student tickets to each of our performances. These are rush tickets, meaning they can only be purchased at the theater on the evening of the performance. Student rush tickets are NOT available for purchase online or by phone.

All patrons must have a ticket.

All patrons, including small children and those in wheelchairs, must have a ticket to the performance.

Handicap accessibility

All our performance venues comply with ADA accessibility requirements. Please contact our box office at 901.202.4533 to make appropriate arrangements.

The taking of photographs and the use of recording devices are strictly prohibited.
