About the OPERA
Meet Isabella, Gina Lollobrigida's identical cousin. She's out to rescue her fiance, escape from pirates, and teach a wanna-be philanderer what it means to mess with an Italian!
Mustafà, Bey of Algiers, wants to marry Isabella, but Isabella wants to marry Lindoro, whom she came all the way to Algiers to rescue. Lindoro wants to marry Isabella too, but Lindoro is engaged to Elvira, who used to be married to Mustafà, who bought Lindoro from the pirates who kidnapped him. This mess of love triangles is all by Mustafà’s design, and the rest of the characters will do anything to avoid their fates. It's up to our Italian Girl to sort it all out.
