così fan tutte Cancelled

Opera Memphis made the difficult decision to cancel our performances of Così fan tutte. Though this decision is heartbreaking, we know it is vital that we play our part in combating the spread of COVID-19 in this truly unprecedented situation. Within the next week, we will reach out to allof our ticket holders and provide them with their options. We hope our patrons will consider donating their tickets in an effort to help us recoup some revenue, as the company has decided to pay our artists and crew who rely on performances for their livelihood.

WKNO Live Broadcast - Online Event Only

WKNO Live Broadcast Preview of Così fan tutte is now a completely online experience!
So, what does that mean? It means we're opting not to do the live audience portion of this broadcast, and asking our dear fans and followers to instead stay home and listen to the broadcast online or on the radio.
Read below for a special message from General Director and CEO Ned Canty and information on how you can hear this special preview of Mozart's masterpiece.

Dear Friends,
As with the majority of us these days, Opera Memphis is doing all it can to be responsible regarding the spread of the coronavirus. At the moment, we are rehearsing our next show,
Così fan tutte, and do not anticipate any performances being changed or postponed.
However, out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to move this Thursday's WKNO FM preview event entirely online. Our good friends at WKNO will broadcast the event live on radio and on their website, meaning nobody needs to be deprived of this beautiful music (some of Mozart's very best).
In addition, we are hoping that you will join us for a live streaming event of this broadcast on Facebook to listen to the music, make new friends, and let us know what you think!
We wish all of you good health, and look forward to seeing you at
Così fan tutte in three weeks!
Sincerely,
Ned Canty
